Why placement decides performance
A radar detector is only as good as its view of the road. Mounted too low it reads the bumper of the car in front; mounted badly it picks up interference from the vehicle's own electronics. Windscreen coatings on some newer vehicles also attenuate the signal in specific bands.
We know where these units want to sit on common vehicles, and we power them from a hidden circuit so there is no coiled cable hanging off the mirror. The result performs better and looks like factory equipment.

Set up for the roads you actually drive
Out of the box, most detectors alert on every supermarket door and blind-spot monitor you pass, and people switch them off within a week. That is a settings problem, not a hardware problem.
We configure filtering for the mix of interstate and back-road driving you do around the Poconos and northern New Jersey, so it stays quiet until it matters. Note that radar detectors are legal in private vehicles in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but not in commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds under federal rules.
What it costs and how long it takes
Most radar detector installs run one to two hours, including hardwiring, mounting and setting up filtering with you. Quoted up front like everything else.
Questions we get asked
Are radar detectors legal where I drive?
In a private passenger vehicle, yes in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. They are prohibited in commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds anywhere in the US, and they are illegal in Virginia and Washington DC if you travel.
Will hardwiring drain my battery?
No. We wire to a circuit that switches off with the ignition, so the detector powers down with the vehicle.
Can you move my existing detector?
Yes. If you already own a detector we can hardwire and remount it properly — that is a common job and usually transforms how it performs.
