Hardwired beats plug-in
The plug-in trackers that go into the diagnostic port under the dash take about four seconds to find and remove, which makes them close to useless for theft recovery and easy to defeat on a work vehicle.
We hardwire trackers into the vehicle's electrical system in a location that is not obvious and not convenient to reach, so the unit keeps reporting. For fleets we do the whole run consistently, so every vehicle is wired the same way and your team knows what to expect.

Fleet work without downtime
Taking six vans off the road for a day is expensive. We schedule fleet installs around how you actually operate — evenings, weekends, or a couple of vehicles at a time while the rest are out working.
We come to your yard or lot, and vehicles go back into service the same shift. If you are tracking for compliance or insurance reasons, tell us and we will make sure the install matches what you need to demonstrate.
What it costs and how long it takes
A single hardwired tracker is usually one to two hours. Multi-vehicle fleet work is quoted per vehicle with pricing that comes down with volume — ask about a fleet rate.
Questions we get asked
Is it legal to track a vehicle I own?
Tracking a vehicle your business owns is generally lawful, and many fleet policies require employees to be informed. Tracking a vehicle you do not own, or a person without their knowledge, is a different matter legally — we install on vehicles the customer owns.
Does the tracker need its own subscription?
Yes, tracking hardware reports over a cellular network, so there is a monthly service cost from the provider. We will factor that into the conversation so the running cost is clear before you commit.
Can you track equipment that isn't a road vehicle?
Yes — trailers, generators, excavators and similar. The wiring approach depends on whether there is a permanent power source or whether we need a battery-backed unit.
